Dyshidrosis

Ever since coming back home, my sweaty hands are working at 120%...so much so that my dyshidrosis (a.k.a hand eczema) came back! It was much better when I was in Chengdu. Perhaps due to my frequent hand washing in the hospital and alcohol sanitizers, my hands are kept dry and therefore, no eczema. In Singapore, as much as I try to wash my hands often (espcially during this coronavirus period), they still sweat like craaaazy! Friggin' eczema has been torturing me for 2 months at least...It just would not subside! My right hand is a mess right now. I didn't bring my medicine with me from my apartment either...Currently I'm trying out calamine lotion after buying all sorts of creams OTL It seems to be improving, let's hope it improves and heals soon. Really driving me crazy. Sometimes, I definitely contemplated on having surgery to have my sweat glands removed or even cut my hands off (though this is crazy talk of course)!

A lil' list on how to deal with this eczema:
1. Keep hands dry and clean all the time.
2. Don't scratch no matter how itchy it is. Keep an ice pack nearby to ease the itch.
3. Washing with Pinetarsol works. Sometimes applying Elomet/Egoderm Ointment works.
4. Accidentally scratched open an area, use Strataderm to heal the open scar.
5. Calamine lotion can help dry the pustules out.
6. Chinese TCM 足光粉 is actually the best solution (those within their expiry dates!), but not sold in SG. Can pair with corticosteroid cream like prednisone.
